It&#8217;s acquiring cybersecurity company <a href=\"https:\/\/www.saasworthy.com\/product\/sailpoint-identitynow\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">SailPoint<\/a> for $6.9billion. The deal price is at an 83 percent premium compared to the stock price at the beginning of 2022.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.reuters.com\/technology\/software-maker-datto-be-acquired-by-kaseya-62-bln-deal-2022-04-11\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>Software maker Datto to be taken private by Kaseya for $6.2billion<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In yet another deal in the cybersecurity space, Kaseya has taken <a href=\"https:\/\/www.saasworthy.com\/product\/datto-workplace\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Datto<\/a> private in an all-cash deal worth $6.2billion. Worth noting that Datto went public on NYSE in October 2020 at $27 per share, and received $35.50 per share.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bloomberg.com\/news\/articles\/2022-04-12\/kkr-said-to-be-in-advanced-talks-to-buy-thoma-backed-barracuda\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>KKR agrees to buy Thoma-backed cybersecurity company Barracuda<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>PE companies are also dealing among themselves&#8230; as KKR has agreed to purchase <a href=\"https:\/\/www.saasworthy.com\/product\/barracuda-website-vulnerability-manager\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Barracuda Networks<\/a> from Thoma Bravo. It&#8217;s aimed at helping companies find data vulnerabilities and take proactive measures to protect mission-critical data.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.zdnet.com\/article\/atlassian-blames-script-maintenance-for-week-long-cloud-outage\/#ftag=RSSbaffb68\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>Atlassian blames script maintenance for week-long cloud outage<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you are a user of services like <a href=\"https:\/\/www.saasworthy.com\/product\/jira\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Jira<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.saasworthy.com\/product\/confluence\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Confluence<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.saasworthy.com\/product\/opsgenie\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Opsgenie<\/a> Cloud, etc., then you may have faced some outage issues. The parent company behind these services\u00a0\u2013 Atlassian\u00a0\u2013 has shared that the outage occurred due to a maintenance script that accidentally disabled these cloud services. What&#8217;s even more interesting is that the Series C round is led by Softbank Vision Fund, and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.saasworthy.com\/list\/video-conferencing-software\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">videoconferencing software<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.saasworthy.com\/product\/zoom\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Zoom<\/a> is also joining the cap table.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/techcrunch.com\/2022\/04\/14\/filevine-raises-108-million-for-tools-that-streamline-legal-workflows\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>Filevine raises $108million for tools that streamline legal workflows<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We&#8217;ve been seeing a surge of funding activity in the legal tech space. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.saasworthy.com\/product\/filevine\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Filevine<\/a> provides a software that offers legal workflows like document management, billing and timekeeping, e-signatures, and lead management. It has nabbed $108million in Series D round led by StepStone Group.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/venturebeat.com\/2022\/04\/14\/obsidian-lands-90m-to-solve-the-biggest-saas-security-issues\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>Obsidian Security to detect and fix major SaaS security risks with $90million infusion<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>With the rise in SaaS applications, their security has also become a matter of concern. Obsidian Security offers a comprehensive view of the SaaS world for any organization. It has raised a $90million Series C investment led by Menlo Ventures.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/techcrunch.com\/2022\/04\/14\/docontrol-raises-30m-for-no-code-security-tools-for-cloud-app-log-ins\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>DoControl raises $30million for no-code security tools for cloud app log-ins<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There seems to be a constant theme this week &#8211; security. DoControl has received $30million in funding to help secure log-ins for cloud apps. The Series B investment was led by Insight Partners, and will be utilized towards building a powerful API so that developers can build integrations with other apps.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/grain.com\/blog\/grain-raised-series-a-funding\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>Grain has raised a $16million Series A<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Video meeting workspace <a href=\"https:\/\/www.saasworthy.com\/product\/grain-co\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Grain<\/a> has secured $16million Series A funding. The round was led by Tiger Global.
