The uploads will usually fail if the <\/span><b>UploadDaemon<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> process is not running properly. Below are the steps to troubleshoot this issue:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">First, users must make sure that Panopto Recorder is installed in the Application folder.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Next, they need to open the <\/span><b>Activity Monitor<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and look for the <\/span><b>UploadDaemon<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> process. Once the process is found, the user should terminate and relaunch it.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In case, you are unable to find the process, then perform the below steps:<\/span>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Find the \u201c<\/span><b>\/var\/Panopto<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201d folder.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The <\/span><b>admin<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and <\/span><b>panopto_upload <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">accounts will have read\/write access to this folder.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The folder will contain an <\/span><b>upload-daemon-wrapper<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> file.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">There is also another file called \u201c<\/span><b>\/Library\/LaunchDaemons\/com.panopto.uploaddaemon.plist<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.\u201d<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Next, the user must put in the command <\/span><b>sudo\u00a0launchctl\u00a0load -wF \/Library\/LaunchDaemons\/com.panopto.uploaddaemon.plist.<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If the upload issues are still not resolved, then it is recommended that you <\/span><b>re-install the Recorder<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3 id=\"2-issue-how-to-use-getlogs\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"2_Issue_How_to_use_GetLogs\"><\/span><b>2. Issue: How to use GetLogs<\/b><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p><b>How to troubleshoot:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> If you wish to retrieve your system logs and basic system information quickly, then you can follow the below steps and find out how to use <\/span><b>GetLogs<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">First, you need to download the GetLogs zip file using the appropriate link: <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/support.panopto.com\/servlet\/servlet.FileDownload?file=01539000003hZ9b\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Windows PC, 64-bit<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/support.panopto.com\/servlet\/servlet.FileDownload?file=01539000003TqJw\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Windows PC, 32-bit<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, and <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/support.panopto.com\/servlet\/servlet.FileDownload?file=01539000003Imnk\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Mac<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Once the zip file is downloaded, extract the<\/span><b> GetLogs.zip <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">to your desktop. You can do this by dragging and dropping the <\/span><b>GetLogs.bat<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (Windows) or the<\/span><b> Panopto Support<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (Mac) file.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Follow the below steps for using <\/span><b>GetLogs for Windows<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">:<\/span>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Extract the downloaded GetLogs file which will create a new <\/span><b>.bat file, GetLogs64.bit or GetLogs.bat<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">To run the tool, double-click on the .bat file.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The logs and system information will be collected in the same location.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Once all the files have been gathered, the command prompt window will close.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If required, users can compress the collected files into a <\/span><b>.zip<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> file.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Follow the below steps for using <\/span><b>GetLogs for Mac:<\/b>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">To run the tool, double-click on the <\/span><b>Panopto Support<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> file. If you are unable to open this file because it was downloaded from the Internet, right-click on the file or select Ctrl + click on the file to open it.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">All the logs and systems will be collected by the tool, and it will collect and place the information in a <\/span><b>.zip<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> file on your desktop. If this does not work, then you will need to contact Panopto\u2019s Support team.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">After the logs have been collected, you can close the tool by clicking on the <\/span><b>Quit<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> button.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Finally, once you have your .zip file with the logs ready, you can send it to Panopto Support for <\/span><b>review<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2 id=\"troubleshooting-common-issues-in-panopto-for-windows\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Troubleshooting_Common_Issues_in_Panopto_for_Windows\"><\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Troubleshooting Common Issues in Panopto for Windows<\/span><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<h3 id=\"1-issue-could-not-process\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"1_Issue_Could_Not_Process\"><\/span><b>1. Since the custom fonts are not on the servers, the slides will not be processed, resulting in the error message. Below are the steps to resolve this issue:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Open the PowerPoint file.
