Amidst the global crisis and the time when everybody was working from home, it came to the fore allowing one to continue their work seamlessly and effectively. The industry also rose to the occasion, be it <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.saasworthy.com\/list\/video-conferencing-software\" target=\"_blank\">video conferencing software<\/a> like <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.saasworthy.com\/product\/zoom\" target=\"_blank\">Zoom <\/a>and <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.saasworthy.com\/product\/google-hangouts-meet\" target=\"_blank\">Google Meet<\/a> allowing anyone to do video calls for free, or <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.saasworthy.com\/tools\/covid-19-resources\" target=\"_blank\">many companies offering their services complimentary<\/a> for a couple of months.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As we look back into the leap year, it&#8217;s important to see which events shaped the industry in 2020, as they will help us to gauge what we can expect from the SaaS companies going forward.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure><iframe src=\"https:\/\/cdn.knightlab.com\/libs\/timeline3\/latest\/embed\/index.html?source=1q1Vd4HfVbg2pevtR2KER4K0yv4DqhRzH6x6RS3n2Vqw&amp;font=Default&amp;lang=en&amp;initial_zoom=2&amp;height=650\" width=\"100%\" height=\"650\" allowfullscreen=\"\"><\/iframe><\/figure>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>From giants launching new products to startups raising huge sums of money, and from companies making public debut to major acquisitions&#8230;
