Of course, a lot more happened in the past week. The company&#8217;s shares rose to 23\\% from the original listing price of $56, valuing it at ~$36billion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/techcrunch.com\/2021\/04\/16\/squarespace-files-for-a-direct-listing-on-the-nyse\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>Squarespace files for a direct listing on the NYSE<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.saasworthy.com\/list\/website-builder-software\" target=\"_blank\">Website builder software<\/a> <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.saasworthy.com\/product\/squarespace\" target=\"_blank\">Squarespace<\/a> has filed to go public. The company will be trading with the symbol SQSP and has opted for a direct listing rather than the traditional route of issuing new shares. It had reported $621.1million revenue in 2020, up 28 percent y-o-y.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bloomberg.com\/news\/articles\/2021-04-20\/chat-app-discord-is-said-to-end-takeover-talks-with-microsoft\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>Chat app Discord ends takeover talks with Microsoft<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It seems that the acquisition talks between Discord and Microsoft didn&#8217;t go anywhere. Reports suggest that the messaging software Discord rejected a $12billion bid and is focusing on going public.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/blog.zoom.us\/zoom-apps-fund\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>Want to build the next big thing on the Zoom platform? We want to invest in you!<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.saasworthy.com\/list\/video-conferencing-software\" target=\"_blank\">Video conferencing software<\/a> <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.saasworthy.com\/product\/zoom\" target=\"_blank\">Zoom<\/a> has launched a $100million fund to back companies that are create useful Zoom experiences. The company mentioned that it&#8217;ll be making an initial investment of $25k to $2.5million in the portfolio companies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnbc.com\/2021\/04\/19\/ibm-earnings-q1-2021.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>IBM beats across the board, posts revenue growth after four quarters of declines<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Big Blue has announced its quarterly results while posting revenue growth after four quarters, along with beating the market expectations. It had earnings of $1.77 per share and revenue of $17.73billion. IBM&#8217;s Cloud and Cognitive Software division (that includes Red Hat) announced $5.44billion in revenue.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/workspaceupdates.googleblog.com\/2021\/04\/google-meet-now-gives-you-more-space.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>Google Meet now gives you more space for content and control over layouts for a more flexible experience<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Google is continue to update its <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.saasworthy.com\/product\/google-hangouts-meet\" target=\"_blank\">Meet<\/a> platform. These include the ability to resize, reposition or hiding your video feed, along with putting your video feed on the bottom right, so you can eye-level when you&#8217;re looking into the web camera. There are also improvements in presenting experience, new additions in the bottom bar, and so on.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/techcrunch.com\/2021\/04\/21\/figma-introduces-a-whiteboard-tool-called-figjam\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>Figma introduces a whiteboard tool called FigJam<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.saasworthy.com\/list\/ux-software\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">UX design software<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.saasworthy.com\/product\/figma\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Figma<\/a> is aiming to compete with the likes of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.saasworthy.com\/product\/miro\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Miro<\/a> as it has launched a collaborative <a href=\"https:\/\/www.saasworthy.com\/list\/whiteboard-software\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">whiteboarding tool<\/a>. Dubbed FigJam, it allows designers to come together and collaborate on designs and more. The tool&#8217;s functionality includes sticky notes, emojis, shapes, pre-built lines, and connectors, among other things. Valued at over $3billion, the round was led by Tiger Global. The company also highlighted that it has over 145,000 customers, up from 90,000 customers just 16 months ago.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/techcrunch.com\/2021\/04\/18\/razorpay-160-million-raise-valuation-hits-3-billion\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>India\u2019s Razorpay raises funds at $3 billion valuation ahead of Southeast Asia launch<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.saasworthy.com\/list\/payment-gateway-software\" target=\"_blank\">Payment services company<\/a> <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.saasworthy.com\/product\/razorpay\" target=\"_blank\">Razorpay<\/a> became a unicorn in October last year, and now it has trebled its valuation. In less than two years, it has doubled its valuation as it has received $147million funding taking its valuation to over $2billion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.chargebee.com\/blog\/chargebee-funding-series-g\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>Chargebee: $125M in Series G, $1.4billion valuation, and the coming of age of a category<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Joining the coveted list of unicorns from India is <a href=\"https:\/\/www.saasworthy.com\/list\/billing-and-invoicing-software\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">billing and invoicing software<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.saasworthy.com\/product\/chargebee\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Chargebee<\/a>, which has nabbed a $125million Series G funding. Valuing the company at $1.4billion, the round was led by Sapphire Ventures. The xx startup mentions that the amount will be used for R&amp;D and scaling its presence globally.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bloomberg.com\/news\/articles\/2021-04-21\/payroll-startup-deel-raises-funds-at-1-25-billion-valuation\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>Payroll startup Deel raises funds at $1.25billion valuation<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.saasworthy.com\/product\/deel\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Deel<\/a> is a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.saasworthy.com\/list\/payroll-software\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">payroll software<\/a>&nbsp;startup that helps companies hire from anywhere around the world without worrying about the local hiring laws. It has now gotten $125million funding at an impressive valuation of $1.25billion. The funding was led by YC Continuity Fund, along with A16z and Spark Capital.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/venturebeat.com\/2021\/04\/22\/software-product-planning-platform-productboard-raises-72m\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>Software product planning platform Productboard raises $72million<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.saasworthy.com\/product\/productboard\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Productboard <\/a>has announced a $72million fundraise led by Tiger Global. The San Francisco-based company stated that the Series C round will help in expanding its team and customer base while focusing on R&amp;D.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/techcrunch.com\/2021\/04\/21\/appomni-raises-40m-for-tools-to-secure-enterprise-saas-apps\/?tpcc=ECTW2020\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>AppOmni raises $40million for tools to secure enterprise SaaS apps<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>With more and more enterprises adopting SaaS applications, security has become quite important. Enter AppOmni, which has a platform to monitor SaaS apps for their activity, and provides guidance when it detects things may go wrong.
