Just last month, it hived off VMware, and now it&#8217;s selling off <a href=\"https:\/\/www.saasworthy.com\/product\/dell-boomi\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Boomi<\/a> to PE firms Francisco Partners and TPG. The deal will reportedly be valued at $4billion. Dell had acquired Boomi, a service that <a href=\"https:\/\/www.saasworthy.com\/product\/dell-boomi-integration\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">integrates<\/a> different cloud platforms, back in 2010.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.barrons.com\/articles\/bill-com-to-buy-divvy-for-2-5-bln-51620339415\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>Bill.com to buy Divvy for $2.5billion<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It seems that <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.saasworthy.com\/list\/expense-management-software\" target=\"_blank\">expense management software<\/a> are suddenly in vogue. While <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.saasworthy.com\/product\/brex\" target=\"_blank\">Brex<\/a> and <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.saasworthy.com\/product\/ramp-management\" target=\"_blank\">Ramp<\/a> have raised significant funding, <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.saasworthy.com\/product\/divvy\" target=\"_blank\">Divvy<\/a>, a Utah-based software has been acquired by <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.saasworthy.com\/product\/bill-com\" target=\"_blank\">Bill.com<\/a>, a cloud-based <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.saasworthy.com\/list\/accounting-software\" target=\"_blank\">accounting software<\/a>. The news came in just after some reports that cited sources, and the deal has been pegged at $2.5billion ($625million in cash, and $1.875billion in stock).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/techcrunch.com\/2021\/05\/06\/kahoot-acquires-clever-the-us-based-edtech-portal-for-up-to-500m\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>Kahoot acquires Clever, the US-based edtech portal, for up to $500million<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>EdTech company <a href=\"https:\/\/www.saasworthy.com\/product\/kahoot\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Kahoot<\/a> has been on the tear lately. After acquiring Drops and Actimo, it has announced the acquisition of Clever, a US-based startup that provides a single sign-on portal for educators, students, and their families. The deal has been pegged at between $435 and $500million depending upon how the team meets various performance milestones.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.thestreet.com\/investing\/twilio-beats-q1-earnings-estimates-strong-pandemic-growth\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>Twilio beats earnings estimates on strong pandemic growth<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Like most earnings reports by tech companies, <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.saasworthy.com\/product\/twilio-flex\" target=\"_blank\">Twilio<\/a> has managed to beat analysts&#8217; expectations. It announced revenue of $590million, up 62 percent from $364.8million in the same period, last year. The cloud communications software announced that it has 235,000 customers as compared to 190,000 customers in the first quarter of 2020.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.zdnet.com\/article\/dropbox-beats-q1-expectations-with-revenue-up-12-percent\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>Dropbox beats Q1 expectations with revenue up 12 percent<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Yet another SaaS company that beat expectations is <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.saasworthy.com\/product\/dropbox-business\" target=\"_blank\">Dropbox<\/a>, which announced revenue of $511.6million which increased by 12 percent y-o-y. Its total ARR is $2.112billion, up 13 percent in the same period last year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.zdnet.com\/article\/oracle-updates-its-analytics-cloud\/#ftag=RSSbaffb68\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>Oracle updates its Analytics Cloud<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Oracle seems to be going all-in on the cloud. During its Oracle Live virtual event series, it has announced major updates to its <a href=\"https:\/\/www.saasworthy.com\/product\/oracle-analytics-cloud\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Analytics Cloud<\/a> service. Along with UX improvements, there&#8217;s now a mobile app, support for infographics \/ data stories, ML explainability, graph, and text analytics, among others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnbc.com\/2021\/05\/04\/facebook-workplace-reaches-7-million-paid-subscribers.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>Facebook Workplace reaches 7 million paid subscribers<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Facebook&#8217;s enterprise offering\u00a0\u2013\u00a0<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.saasworthy.com\/product\/workplace-by-facebook\" target=\"_blank\">Workplace<\/a>\u00a0\u2013 has more than 7million paid users. While this has grown 40 percent from the last year, it&#8217;s nowhere comparable to other <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.saasworthy.com\/list\/collaboration-software\" target=\"_blank\">collaboration software<\/a> such as <a href=\"https:\/\/www.saasworthy.com\/product\/microsoft-teams\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Microsoft Teams<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.saasworthy.com\/product\/slack\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Slack<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"saas-companies-that-got-the-funding-this-week\" class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"SaaS_companies_that_got_the_funding_this_week\"><\/span>SaaS companies that got the funding this week<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.zdnet.com\/article\/acronis-banks-250m-in-funds-to-grow-portfolio-partners\/#ftag=RSSbaffb68\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>Acronis banks $250million in funds to grow portfolio, partners<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Data security firm <a href=\"https:\/\/www.saasworthy.com\/product\/acronis-backup-and-recovery\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Acronis<\/a> has received $250million in funding led by PE firm CVC Capital. The amount will be used to add support for more workload types for Cyber Protect, as well as acquisitions. The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.saasworthy.com\/list\/backup-software\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">backup software<\/a> company will also expand its channel partners.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/techcrunch.com\/2021\/05\/06\/from-bootstrapped-to-a-2-1b-valuation-recharge-raises-227m-in-growth-capital\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>From bootstrapped to a $2.1billion valuation, ReCharge raises $227million for subscription management platform<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.saasworthy.com\/list\/subscription-billing-software\" target=\"_blank\">Subscription billing software<\/a> for e-commerce companies, <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.saasworthy.com\/product\/recharge-payments\" target=\"_blank\">ReCharge<\/a> has announced a $227million Series B growth round. Valued at $2.1billion, it&#8217;s worth noting that it had raised $50million Series A in January last year, and before that, it has been bootstrapped. ReCharge also mentioned that its ARR grew 146 percent in 2020, while revenue grew over 136 percent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/techcrunch.com\/2021\/05\/04\/honeybook-raises-155m-at-1b-valuation-to-help-smbs-freelancers-manage-their-businesses\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>HoneyBook raises $155million at $1billion+ valuation to help SMBs, freelancers manage their businesses<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.saasworthy.com\/list\/business-management-software\" target=\"_blank\">Business management software<\/a> for small businesses and freelancer <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.saasworthy.com\/product\/honeybook\" target=\"_blank\">Honeybook<\/a> has raised a $155million Series D round. Led by Durable Capital Partners LP, the company&#8217;s valuation has gone beyond $1billion, making it a unicorn. The funding will be used for product development and expanding the team.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/techcrunch.com\/2021\/05\/04\/workboard-raises-75m-as-the-okr-focused-startup-bets-on-a-growing-economy-changes-to-business-culture\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>WorkBoard raises $75M as the OKR-focused startup bets on a growing economy, changes to business culture<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.saasworthy.com\/list\/objectives-and-key-results-software\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">OKR software<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.saasworthy.com\/product\/workboard\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Workboard<\/a> has nabbed a $75milion Series D funding. The round was led by Softbank Group and values the company at $800million. The amount will be used to scale the employee base to 250 to 400 people. It&#8217;ll also expand its global footprint.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/venturebeat.com\/2021\/05\/04\/vanta-raises-50m-to-automate-cybersecurity-compliance\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>Cybersecurity compliance startup Vanta raises $50million<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>San Francisco-based Vanta is known for its automated security and compliance platform. It allows companies to prepare for SOC 2 audits, while automatically monitoring all the cloud services. The startup has gotten $50million in Series A funding.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.globenewswire.com\/news-release\/2021\/05\/06\/2224629\/0\/en\/Huntress-Raises-40M-to-Become-the-Go-To-Cybersecurity-Platform-for-SMBs-Arm-Reseller-Partners-with-New-Services.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>Huntress raises $40million to become the go-to cybersecurity platform for SMBs<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Security is paramount for companies these days, and that&#8217;s why we&#8217;re seeing a lot of funding announcements. Huntress, a provider of managed detection and response (MDR) has received a $40million Series B investment.
