It was last valued at $5.1million when it raised $175million Series E investment in 2020.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.zdnet.com\/article\/aws-ceo-announces-private-5g-at-reinvent-2021\/#ftag=RSSbaffb68\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>AWS CEO announces new private 5G service at re:Invent 2021<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.saasworthy.com\/product\/aws-iam\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">AWS<\/a> recently held its re:Invent 2021 conference, where it made a spate of announcements. Its new CEO Adam Selipsky stressed how the cloud giant is helping businesses, and private 5G service is no different. It&#8217;ll help organizations to deploy and manage their private networks, and scale as per the needs. The company is planning to sell shares at $68 to $72 each.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.theverge.com\/2021\/12\/1\/22811605\/microsoft-teams-essentials-price-features-availability\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>Microsoft Teams Essentials is a new standalone version for small businesses<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Redmond giant is introducing a separate version of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.saasworthy.com\/product\/microsoft-teams\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Microsoft Teams<\/a> that&#8217;s aimed at small businesses. Dubbed Microsoft Teams Essentials, it&#8217;ll be priced at $4 per user per month. While one wouldn&#8217;t need to pay $6 for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.saasworthy.com\/product\/office-365\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Microsoft 365<\/a> (starting tier), the new version of Teams lacks a meeting recording and transcription feature, real-time translation, etc.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.marketwatch.com\/story\/salesforce-earnings-beat-in-first-full-quarter-with-slack-but-forecast-slaps-stock-11638307076\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>Salesforce promotes Bret Taylor to co-CEO alongside Benioff<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The fact that Bret Taylor could take up the leadership position at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.saasworthy.com\/product\/salesforce\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Salesforce<\/a> has been in news for a while. And now, it&#8217;s official&nbsp;\u2013 Bret Taylor has been promoted to the role of co-CEO.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Salesforce also <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnbc.com\/2021\/11\/30\/salesforce-promotes-bret-taylor-to-co-ceo.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">announced its Q3 results<\/a>, beating analyst expectations as it achieved a profit of $468million on sales of $6.86million. The past week also saw a lot of SaaS companies announcing their quarterly results, which brings us to&#8230;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"earnings-corner\" class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Earnings_corner\"><\/span>Earnings corner<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.zdnet.com\/article\/crowdstrike-beats-estimates-for-q3-sees-revenue-increase-63-compared-to-2020\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>CrowdStrike beats estimates for Q3, sees revenue increase 63 percent compared to 2020<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Security firm <a href=\"https:\/\/www.saasworthy.com\/product\/crowdstrike-falcon-endpoint-protection\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">CrowdStrike<\/a> published its Q3 results. With revenue of $380.1million, a 63 percent from the same quarter last year, it comfortably beat market estimates. It announced revenue of $351million, which grew by 61 percent year-over-year. The company also reaped the benefits of <a href=\"https:\/\/dev.saasworthy.com\/blogokta-acquires-rival-auth0\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">acquiring<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.saasworthy.com\/product\/auth0\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Auth0<\/a> back in May. For Q4, it has given a guidance of $358 to $360million in revenue.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.zdnet.com\/article\/snowflakes-industry-focus-paying-off-with-strong-q4\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>Snowflake&#8217;s industry focus paying off with strong Q4<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.saasworthy.com\/list\/data-warehouse\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Data warehouse software<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.saasworthy.com\/product\/snowflake\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Snowflake<\/a> has been on a tear since its IPO, and its latest quarterly results continue the trend. Its Q3 sales surged by 110 percent, helping it reach the revenue of $334.4million. Worth noting that analysts were expecting the revenue to be $305.6million. For Q4, Snowflake&#8217;s CEO Frank Slootman is projecting a revenue of $345 to $350million.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.zdnet.com\/article\/asana-beats-q3-estimates-surpassing-100m-in-sales\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>Asana beats Q3 estimates, surpasses $100million in quarterly sales<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.saasworthy.com\/list\/project-management-software\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Project management software<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.saasworthy.com\/product\/asana\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Asana<\/a> exceeded $100million in quarterly sales, which is 70 percent up from the same period last year. It also announced that it has over 114,000 paying customers, and those who pay $5000 or more on an annualized basis grew to 14,143 &#8211; an increase of 58 percent y-o-y.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.zdnet.com\/article\/box-beats-wall-street-expectations-for-q3-delivers-224-million-in-revenue\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>Box beats Wall Street expectations for Q3, delivers $224million in revenue<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Despite choppy waters, cloud management software <a href=\"https:\/\/www.saasworthy.com\/product\/box-relay\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Box<\/a> continues to deliver good results. It beat market expectations with revenue of $224million (vs $218.6million), while its net retention rate was 109 percent. It&#8217;s projecting revenue in the range of $227 to $229million for Q4.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.zdnet.com\/article\/docusign-shares-plunge-as-fiscal-q3-results-top-expectations-but-outlook-disappoints\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>DocuSign shares plunge as fiscal Q3 results top expectations but outlook disappoints<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Not all SaaS companies enjoyed the love from the market. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.saasworthy.com\/list\/electronic-signature-software\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Electronic signature software<\/a> pioneer <a href=\"https:\/\/www.saasworthy.com\/product\/docusign\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">DocuSign<\/a> saw its shares decline by as much as 42 percent as it reduced its revenue guidance for Q4. The Series C investment values the company at more than a billion and was led by Nyca Partners.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/techcrunch.com\/2021\/11\/29\/upbound-grabs-60m-series-b-to-grow-open-source-crossplane-cloud-management-project\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>Upbound nabs $60million to grow its open source Crossplane multi-cloud management project<\/strong><\/a>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>An open-source multi-cloud management tool Upbound helps companies manage their multi-cloud strategy. Now the startup has raised $60million led by Altimeter Capital. The startup offers an open-source version that customers can install themselves as well as a SaaS version that Upbound can manage for its customers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/techcrunch.com\/2021\/12\/02\/kayak-co-leads-life-houses-60m-series-c-to-reimagine-hotel-experience\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>Kayak co-leads Life House\u2019s $60million Series C to \u2018reimagine\u2019 the hotel experience<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>SaaS-ification of traditional industries is continuing at an unprecedented pace. So it&#8217;s not a surprise to see <a href=\"https:\/\/www.saasworthy.com\/list\/hotel-management-software\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">hotel management software<\/a>\u00a0\u2013 Life House\u00a0\u2013 which helps independent hotel owners and operators with the on-site management of hotels.
