Notion acquires Cron, the next-generation calendar

It’s evident that Notion is aiming to become the defacto productivity app for individuals and teams. What started as a note-taking app is now so much more, and it’s now aiming to offer calendar functionality under its umbrella as it has acquired Cron. While the terms of the deal haven’t been disclosed, Cron will continue to function separately.

DocuSign shares crater after first-quarter earnings miss

Among the major reasons for the ongoing slowdown in the tech industry is that the sudden boom we witnessed for various categories due to the remote work situation is going back to normal. It’s not surprising to see the electronic signature software DocuSign going through the same as its shares fell by 24 percent after it announced its quarterly results. While its revenue was higher than analysts’ expectations of $588.7million, its earnings were lesser than the estimates. for the second quarter, the company is projecting revenue of $600 to $604million.

Salesforce takes crypto plunge with new NFT cloud

CRM pioneer Salesforce has a finger on various pies, and it seems that it wants the ride the crypto craze too. It has announced a platform for buying / selling crypto assets dubbed NFT Cloud.

Go1 nabs $100million at a $2B+ valuation to upgrade its curated enterprise learning platform

Enterprise learning platform Go1 has announced a $100million funding round co-led b AirTree Ventures and Five Sigma. Valued at $2billion, the company intends to grow through inorganic acquisitions, looking at expanding beyond its core market, and work on innovative technologies such as VR.

Lessons from the newest unicorn startup, Vanta: be frugal, and drink Costco coffee

Security compliance software Vanta has become a unicorn with its latest fundraise. It has closed a $100million round led by Craft Ventures, valuing it at $1.6billion. While Vanta isn’t profitable, it generated revenue of $10million.

Nfinite bags $100million to give e-commerce 3D flare

France-based Nfinite aims to make the online shopping experience more realistic by offering the 3D look of the product. It has received $1000million in a Series B round led by Insight Partners. The funding will be utilized for growing sales and marketing teams.

AppOmni raises $70million to find and secure vulnerabilities in SaaS app stacks

Security software for SaaS apps, AppOmni has nabbed $70million in a Series C investment. Led by Thoma Bravo, the amount will be used towards improving the platform and international growth.

JPMorgan backs software startup Codat at $82million valuation

Codat connects financial institutions and small businesses with its software. It has raised funding led by JPMorgan Chase which values it at $825million. The startup is aiming to reach an annualized revenue of $30million by the end of this year.
