Before we even needed reports for the analysis needed for our application for a PPP loan, Paylocity was up and running to meet our needs. There was an excellent webinar that lead us through the key talking points. The reports provided the numbers we needed to use to supply the data needed for the PPP loan application. We submitted the Paylocity reports as part of our documentation for the loan.

The FFCRA setup was also handled very well. Paylocity even recalculated the amounts once we realized the way we had coded some of our earnings codes meant they were left out of the lookback period. It's great to have someone pleasantly handle a problem we caused by inadvertently being inconsistent in the setup of some of our earnings codes.

.The platform is easy to navigate and find exactly what you need! I love that you can upload receipts straight to the platform - it has done wonders on streamlining the process for reimbursement! Also, love the virtual cards - as we work with many different community partners, it's a great way to get funds in their hands for projects without having to go through a long, drawn-out reimbursement process OR buy gift cards (what we were doing before - ick)!

I can't think of anything I dislike! Airbase has been wonderful for our organization and I can't recommend it enough!

I love how comprehensive Paylocity has been. They have an extensive onboarding process, and continue to be comprehensive when setting up new people, systems or processes. This gives me tremendous comfort that they've been just as thorough in all other areas of their company. Like with the stuff we don't see like data security or access management.

The journal entry mapping process to QBO could be way easier to update. Currently you have to manually map out every single payroll code to its own account and class. If you wanted to make your departments their own class in QBO then... good luck. You're dealing with hundreds of custom mappings. If Paylocity gave the option to make certain assumptions, then they could auto-map 90% of them. Like, if I used a departmental report combined with an employee address report I could auto assign state tax codes and classes. We don't map the way we want to in QBO because the process is so arduous in Paylocity.

Because of the heavy nature of the software I would not recommend it unless you have personnel who are willing to spend a lot of time getting to know it. Once you get over the onboarding, initiation and learning phase, it's a breeze to manage and comes with amazing support. Just be prepared to dedicate someone to learning it.

Where do I start...

The mobile app has been great when I've been on the road cause I can see my spending in real-time which helps with not going T&E limits. Plus, I can just snap a pic of a receipt and upload it to the corresponding charge. On the desktop side, I'm using on my laptop when I get a notification to approve invoices, and it's super clear and easy to find what I'm approving, and all I need to do is click a button.

It took me a minute to get my first receipt on the go to upload correctly cause it didn't flow how I expected, but once I figured it out, it was fine.

This is far easier and way cleaner for tracking budget, spending, and expenses. I hadn't used an app before that so quickly and clearly showed my work travel expenses in real-time. So much easier to submit an expense report after a trip than previously.

I like how simple it is to make different spend cards for different vendors, and approvals are smooth and straightforward.

There isn't much I don't like, but sometimes I think the categories could be better.

We are managing purchases for a 400 person organization acrosss dozens of vendors and 6 continents.

I like the ability to apply for cards and reimbursements, and the UI is very transparent as to what's available.

I haven't found any yet, to be perfectly honest!

Reimbursement and card generation for regular companies activities that require expensing.

I like that you can easily be reimbursed for company purchases like food, travel, etc. Submitting reciepts is a very easy process as well.

My airbase card took a very long time to get delivered to my apartment and had to be resent.

Usually its very stressful tracking costs that you have to spend for work from your personal funds.

Airbase's virtual card function is by far my favorite part of the tool. As a team member without a company card, I'd typically need to pay using my own card then wait to get my purchases reimbursed but with Airbase I can easily request a virtual card for whatever payments I need to make and use it as I would any other online card payment. When I do need to submit invoices or get reimbursed, it is much easier and faster than our prior vendors.

One small feature that could be improved is the naming of the cards - currently, the cards generate a "First name" and "Last name" based on the vendor that the card will be used for - i.e. if you request a card for an Amazon purchase the card name is "Amazon.com Card" and I've had that raise a red flag with some vendors but it's always been easy to resolve.

Before using Airbase, my team struggled to track our spending and budget throughout the month as we were making payments but now it's easy to document and track what is being spent against our budget in real time. It's also easy to share costs across teams by using Airbase's tags and category functions.

The ease of use with Airbase is unmatched. The ability to spin up a virtual card with a limit and use it for anything needed, while simply uploaded a receipt to the app, is perfect.

Nothing, they have updated and changed the way things are done so frequently, that any issues I thought I had, were fixed before I knew it.

With airbase I dolce the problem of having to review all my teams transactions by way of individual receipts that are tied to cards that I have no visibility into. I can see outstanding transactions in one place and get exactly what I need.

Airbase has greatly simplified our vendor reimbursement/disbursement process and cut down on our need to handle/distribute checks. We consistently hear from vendors that changing to Airbase has been a big improvement!

Some vendors we work with are a bit technologically-challenged and have had trouble setting up direct deposit, but that can mostly be attributed to user error.

We used to handle vendor reimbursements by hand-distributing physical checks, but now we're able to use direct deposit via Airbase.
